Its a tough call. Sally is great on a bad news day - she has the gravitas to give Reporting Scotland a more serious, important vibe. However, Jackie connects well with the viewers and generally makes the programme more enjoyable to watch. I like how they also somehow managed to make the 'keyed-in' superimposed image reflect on the desk now a la ITV News- rather than have the real red backing reflect. It looks well done too.

Did I miss a bit? All of the wall images are generated by practical back-projection - not any kind of CSO or GFX.
But if you mean something other than that I might have tuned away by that point. I only viewed long enough to see if Sally had been 'toxing herself.
The 'screens' on the left and right hand sides of the studio are just colour-lit panels, theres no projection.
So are you saying they used those side panels for GFX overlays? The (new) shots at the top of the programme featured an oblique angle onto the back wall (which showed a reflection on the desk). Wasn't aware of any graphics showing up on the side panels.
Again, I may have missed a bit. I'll watch tonight.
they did a promo at the 18.15 headlines where the camera was pointed at the corner and the back wall had the clyde view and the side panel was a still of the titles
I'm not good on the technical terms, which is probably causing me to not explain myself properly. The side panels don't have projection/video screens on them - any images which appear there are superimposed on. I was commenting on how I am impressed that they've now got this to reflect on the desk as in the past you would just see a red patch reflected on the desk. Even now, despite there being no red wall 'on screen', with it being covered by a computer image - there is still a reddish light reflecting onto the desk area.

No, you explained it well enough. I just missed that shot.
