Just in case anyone missed it, there was a tiny article about Reporting Scotland's new studio in this weeks Broadcast, with a picture too (basically nationals copy) Just thought I'd mention it.

Well I would be shocked if it was anything to do with new titles and graphics...think they may as well go for a decade with the same opening sequence now!!
Ten minutes tonight spent at the top of the programme discussing tomorrow's Scotland match. Although this is ( to some ) an important event, it's hardly top news as it hasn't happened yet. Has nothing more important happened in Scotland today?
Heaven help us if they do get to have a Scottish six. " Tonight's main story - Shinty fever grips Scotland "
I saw the article, and picture in Broadcast, and it looks quite nice, especially how they have it with the desk in the centre with red on the sides. Though I understand that for the national they want to use it for presentations on the screens too.
There was obviously a " glitch " during the 6.18pm regional headline opt out tonight during the Six O' Clock News. Instead of the usual headlines from the RS studio, there was a holding caption, with the continuity announcer making an announcement about Reporting Scotland being on in 15 minutes. No background " drum beats " either, and it looked like BBC Scotland's usual unprofessional self.

Surely if BBC Scotland were being unprofessional during that junction, they'd have just let the BBC London News headlines go out instead? If there was a technical problem preventing the headlines making it to air, then at least they tried to provide something, even a caption, rather than just not bothering.

True - you've no idea how many times we've either had the full BBC London News during the first opt out in the headlines, or caught the first few seconds during either junction.
