As well as it being Radio 1's 40th, it's 50 years since the first Reporting Scotland bulletin. Special programme on BBC1 Scotland now.

It's being shown on the same day that Channel 4 and BBC Radio are celebrating their birthdays, so Sunday looks like a big day for birthday celebrations!

Though quite why More4 is celebrating Channel 4's birthday tonight is anyones guess as it's on 2nd November.

We had to wait for colour longer and also have to wait for a new set of titles longer as well!! Mad

I never realised that network joined Reporting Scotland on the day of Dunblane. Regional news down south was delayed for 15 minutes.

Yes and there was a half and hour programme in Scotland after the Nine o'Clock News

Aww sorry - I just wondered Embarassed It was a really good programme and made me realise how much Reporting Scotland did a great job in the past.

It is a shame things are not as good as what they where though Crying or Very sad

I enjoyed the programme but i would have preferred to have more from Mary Marquais and Viv Lumsden especially about their feud Laughing .Mary was jealous when Viv arrived on the scene .Although i liked them together the news was very serious then.
