No even the chairs are naff!!

I would imagine that this is the set that will move to PQ!?!?

If not what a WASTE of money and the BBC should be held to account for such a waste!

How much do you HONESTLY think it costs to knock together a few bits of wood and plastic into a desk (because that's all it is... trust me, I've sat at the nationals desk), stick some lights and a computer in it, change the plastic on the lit walls, and make a new view of Glasgow?

I would be surprised if this revamp cost more than 4 licence fees.

That may be James - but does it make it money well spent. You seem to forget this is Scotland and we count our pennies a lot!!!

WHAT £500! I wouldn't won't pay that

I give them £10 and expect Change.

As it stands, I think they've done a good enough job with this revamp. Perhaps this may be a Midlands Today Job - they may simply take key elements of the set (desk, chairs, panels?) to PQ and work around them.

Therefore it wouldn't be money poorly spent!

Yeah that is likelyJames.
However, if I see a new desk and new chairs I will not be amused. None of you have come up with a reasonable explanation for spending money on a doomed tinkering to a set that will be smashed to kingdom come very soon!!
As they say - many pennies make a pound (or one hundred pennies if u are a TVF bully or smart arse)

I didn't agree with STV doing this; however, they don't want me to pay a TV Licence.

I like the studio, but...

THOSE 1999 TITLES NEED TO GO RIGHT NOW! No other region is using them! UGH! Evil or Very Mad

Defo G4 - at least BBC News Scotland are willing to save some pennies for a new innovative, sparkly and funky set of graphics when they move.
There is part of me that hopes they are still being used in 2009. Perhaps they are going for a record??
