I always thought Chris Choi would be good presenting the Lunchtime News, but then seeing as this thread seems to have been hijacked by all the BBC lovers, I can't see it going down well here.

He seems like a good, likeable 'presenter', should he have ever been or is to be a future anchor at any time. Has he had any previous duties before?

Yes I also think Chris Choi is excellent and under-used on ITV news. He always puts a lot of imagination and creativity into his reports... although just sometimes he does verge into being just a little bit cheesey!

Not sure how good he would be at being news anchor... but I could see him on watchdog though!

I think Kier Simmons would make a good presenter.

Well Chris has certainly presented before, he used to present The Really Useful Show on BBC1 in the mornings, which was quite a good consumer-type show. I think he co-presented with Cheryl Baker?

She was a good presenter last time she did present on the sofa and I do wish she would return to presenting though appearances of her reporting are scarce anyway.

I'd also like to see Declan Curry present Breakfast - his interviewing technique is rather a strong one.

Yeah, she did present a lot a weekends and occasionally during the week until two years ago when after presenting the programme with Dermot for a week before Easter and with Bill from News 24 on Good Friday, Sian left to cover for Sophie on the Six, Mishal arrived (after a few shifts by Emily Matlis) and Jules has never graced the sofa or the newsdesk again.

I think Daniella Replh (BBC Washington Correspondent) would be good behind the desk

Personally I don't, or maybe thats someone else im thinking of. Is Daniella the one that covered the MJ Trial?

Yes, that's her. I just think she's very clear and consise on the facts, and looks like she should be given a trial presenting.
