In the past HTV West and HTV Wales have both had new sets at the same time!

I wonder if this means ITV Wales will be getting a new set the same time predicted for ITV West?

I very much doubt it, as the pairing is now Westcountry and West, with Wales out on a limb on its own.

The same management now runs Plympton and Bristol, with Culverhouse Cross having its own.

Gone are the days of Harlech Television as an entity.

Anyone heard any more on the suggestion that Westcountry news presentation will move to Bristol?

If this included all the Westcountry sub-regions it would mean a LOT of studios wouldn't it?

Two big'uns and three little'uns would do the two main programmes for West and Westcountry; plus three of the local opt-outs for Westcountry, if south came from the main studio.

An extra little'un would be needed if Westcountry south's opt needed its own home.

Mind you, there's plenty of space in Bath Road left over from the good old days when they used to make real programmes. They could put a few opt-out studios where the Mr & Mrs audience used to sit!

If the story was true, that they've now decided not to move, it would be a sensible use of the space.

I've not heard anything recently, it's all gone quiet again; though that's not unusual in these sorts of circumstances.
