Just thought I'd mention what happened on the first four terrestial channels during Saturday's silence:

BBC One: Live silence included in the Lord Mayor's Show
BBC Two: Newsround Special
ITV1: ITV News Special
Channel 4: Sugababes Concert! (ie. no silence)

There was a nice montage of clips, with good use of the slow fade, on the channels that covered the silence.
I was most surprised to see the Sugababes singing and dancing in a pre-recorded concert on Channel 4; I would have thought they could have scheduled in the silence at least.

For some reason Channel 4 don't really tend to bother with Silences, it's just their thing for being alternative, though AIUI they did take the 2 minutes for the July 7 anniversary this year, which I thought was very surprising especially for Channel 4, granted it was a National tragedy but if Channel 4 usually ignore Rememberence Day silences, then I would have thought July 7th would be no different.

I've been in work both Saturday and Sunday so I've watched little Television, but when I have been off it is usually worth a flick through all the channels to see if they have taken it or not, the vast majority tend to do so, but some like Sky Movies don't stop, and some Sky channels take Sky News for the 2 minutes on previous occassions.
