BBC News (UK) presentation - Reith launch onwards

Yep, it was lower case back in early days of World News in NBH

Graphics disappeared before the end of the bulletin but now Reith is back (unfortunately).

The countdown was broken as well, cutting straight to the picture of the Queen.

Just watched it back on iPlayer Live Rewind. It looks like the old graphics template was used but with some colour palette changes - maybe the new graphics palette applied to the old graphics?

Main graphics were removed at 13:08 but other graphics remained including the old BBC News box right at the end of the bulletin right up until Reith returned.

Those old new graphics are better then the current graphics, takes up less space on screen

And what exactly are viewers missing out on with the newer graphics?

Worth noting that on the closing sting on the News Channel, the 2013 box was displayed near the end, whilst on BBC One, no logo could be spotted. I usually watch the weekend bulletins via the News Channel though, so I don't know if the logoless end sting on BBC One is normal, if someone can confirm?

It reminds me how much I find the white transparent bar distracting.

I bet a lot of peoples hearts skipped a beat if they tuned in just as the still of the Queen was left on screen with no music. They may have mistaken it for some sort of imminent announcement of her death.

Why were all of the graphics grey? Was that to do with the pallette of the new graphics?
