I will be watching The Last Leg on Channel 4, who always airs live from 10.00pm on Fridays, and are planning a special edition of their show.

Most of which will presumably just be a beard being shaved off

That's a busy week for Hwu he is also presenting BBC's coverage of seventy-fifth anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz concentration camp

A three hour long B100D ! (see what I did there)

So in total 4.5 hours of waffle?

I can remember when we joined, NYE 1972, I was under my bed sheets pretending to have been asleep for hours, listening to Late Night Extra on R2 and I think John Dunn was the presenter. It'll be on Genome

Edit: Ray Moore, assisted by Jimmy Young and DLT

Martine Croxall has arrived on air early. It looks like because of the breaking Royal news. It also adds to another one of my theories - running for some time now this one - that there isn't usually any News Channel presenter cover at the desk during what is normally Sportsday 6.30pm-7pm Sat & Sun, it seems to be covered by Sportsday presenters or by the BBC One presenter if the bulletin falls during that time, although the 7pm news channel presenter is available at 10 to 7 if the bulletin ends then (and the BBC One presenter doesn't stay for a few minutes to take the channel to 7). The news channel presenters start half an hour earlier than their actual on-air time anyway. It does seem Martine has arrived because the breaking news is going quite some minutes beyond 6.30, although Lukwesa was still in the building, visible in the newsroom in the background, ten minutes ago.

Whatever BBC Scotland were planning to do at the start of The Seven has also gone out of the window. The script for the breaking news didn't reach the autocue as presenter Fiona Stalker reading it from her papers. Programme has become solo presenter - normally duo on Saturday - with Nick Sheridan taking on role of correspondent providing the detail on the breaking story.

Also they have been reduced to 15 minutes with no Seven Days

Presumably because of live football.
