No. Given what's just happened last week, the chance of the BBC downgrading news bulletins is highly unlikely.
Here is the news - it's Christmas!
Yes it’s ‘News at When’ tonight, let’s hope it’s not the start of a slippery slope

I was caught out, I was expecting the ridiculous song and dance based Apprentice post mortem show at 21:58hrs to switch over to BBC 2, but it didn't....

Not the first time in recent weeks the words coming out of politicians mouths haven't matched what they're actually saying.
Good grief. Dreadful out-of-sync between video/audio on NC for Opening of Parliament.
EDIT: Not same problem on BBC One.

Well you say that, but they chose to cut minutes from the Ten to provide a BBC Three slot on BBC One during an exceptionally busy news period.

Indeed, I’m surprised that didn’t stay on BBC Two considering how cringeworthy it seemed to be.
But of course it’s normal for News at Ten to be bumped a week before Christmas, despite it never actually happening before.

Anyone noticing the ticker is flickering a lot since 10am? Kinda distracting as it catches my eye every time it starts doing it.
EDIT: Lots more flickering around 10.51am, even saw flickers on the main video feed above the ticker itself.
EDIT2: even more during the headline names at TOTH. No flickering when there are no bottom bar elements so seems to be ticker graphic issues?

Here’s a thought:
There was talk about making the screens in Studio E clever glass originally, but they couldn’t get the picture good enough.
How difficult would it be to stick a couple of cameras on the back of each screen and then put the resultant video on the screen so it appeared transparent (apart from the edge). I say two cameras as this may be needed for parallax as the other cameras move. If this makes any sense!
Could this work clever people out there!?

I think parallax would be a significant issue, as well as matching the field of view.
