I wonder why World News Today has been cancelled on BBC Four on 13 December

Most likely due to it being the day after the election, meaning that regular BBC News programmes will have been dropped in favour of election-themed programming.

BBC News Channel was having issues with cameras right after News At Six. The camera went nuts and didn’t stop so it ended up showing another camera, lol.
I can’t think of a good signature.

A new DTL studio look for Cardiff on the 6pm news now. A video backdrop of the Llandaff site in nice soggy SD.

Hardly seems worth the effort given the imminent move to Central Square

If it’s just a monitor or chroma key backdrop why not use a live backdrop? Do they normally use a live backdrop of a different locations - if they do it the change could possibly be because there were issues with the camera or weather made it look bad.
Don’t let anyone treat you like you’re a VO/SOT when you’re a PKG.

It may not be viable to have a live camera 24/7 on the building opposite, it's a BBC building I seem to recall, but beyond that.......

Also live backdrops can create problems.

Oh, they seem to be on all the time here unless there’s technical issues.

Have a look here, you can see the building opposite where the camera would have to be positioned
