The filler loop was used instead of the countdown before the 10 also - complete with old BBC News box

I've a feeling Huw is doing a pretty good job of hiding the fact that the autocue has failed too.

He didn't seen flummoxed at all though, as if they knew what was going to happen.

During John Pienaar’s report, the camera randomly switched to a shot of Reeta sitting at the desk for about 3 seconds while John’s voice could be heard from the VT still being played out.

Absolutely loved Reetas reaction.

Sound keeps dropping out as if they don’t know who is on what source

It must have been quite short notice as the regions still opted out, and there was a jump in the picture during the first report when the regions opted back in, realising the local headlines were not happening

Incidentally, the News Channel has is currently without GFX too, including flipper/clock.

Not using any other cameras in the studio too - just the main presenter shot, nothing from the catwalk.

If it's a bigger issue, Newsnight could be interesting.

Huw acknowledging the technical issues over the course of the programme at the end just now, so obviously he was told at some point that there was problems after he’d already gone live.

EDIT Still no graphics on the news channel during sportdays, so chances of the ar graphics in the papers are probably zero.

Looks like the automation system failed just before The Ten went to air!

No papers tonight, it's Brexitcast instead.

I think this is just a 10-minute 'emergency' TV Brexitcast (as opposed to the 20-minute audio version recorded tonight).

So I suppose it could've been schedule to fit into this slot tonight, but unlikely they'd ditch The Papers on a big news day like this.
