To be honest I preferred the previous look. It's look more modern but as said above the reith font in the countdown looks wrong, the headlines are far too big and if on a white background it'll be impossible to read them, the titles and countdown are still the same which also looks out of place - the new logo looks like it's just been plastered on. I quite like the flipper though but not sure on the black bar.
Can see now why sport news have gone with the BBC Sport graphics - if they're generated in Salford they wouldn't be able to have the BBC News logo moving up and down and so on, where before the straps were independent of the ticker. Looks really nice anyway.
They’ve been using the bbc sport graphics for score boards and league tables for years now so I guess it could be seen as making it more consistent with the sport bulletins, pretty nice in my opinion as I like the new sport graphics
It's definitely evolutionary, more of a re-skin than anything else. I still much prefer The Nine's lower-third's though; new pres still pales by comparison.
