The back half hour of World News Today is an utter mess presentationally, no out of break TOTH at bottom of the hour or closing theme know it’s unusual to do a full hour but surely they have the templates to play? But were they Riethed as they have not done a full hour since 2016

You watching on World News? On the News Channel there was unusually news all hour instead of a documentary in the back-half.

Is it normal that the live location bug is all caps on the news channel but small case on World?

No. That’s a mistake.

Which is the mistake? All caps or regular font?

Regular is the mistake, the location bug should always have CAPS.

I did see a 'HOUSE of COMMONS' a while back, which didn't look out of place, but would be a faff to write a style guide for - easier to stick to all caps

The style for locators is all caps. Lower thirds are mixed case.
As this is a 100% change from the previous look, in a hurry some find it easier than others to remember.

I'm amazed that there isn't something that forces whatever is input into the system to upper case when it is displayed.

They seemed to have changed the opening slightly on Afternoon Live. Rather than having Simon stood next to the plasma screen for the opening shot, they now have him seated (with the plasma still in shot).
