Very true, they were on github for a while while I was trying to tweak with something I was doing and downloaded them.
I’m guessing that Reith will be in use for many years - there are so many variations that a total redesign of the graphics style could still use Reith and yet would still be a complete rebrand.

Was watching Victoria Derbyshire earlier (not by choice by the news channel was on at work) and it amazes me how messy the graphics are on this programme on the NC simulcast.
They should lose the BBC News bar above the flipper or incorporate the contact details into this bar as it's wasted space. They also duplicate all the contact details on the flipper, I don't understand why?

The curse of the Weekend Ticker - sorry, Flipper - strikes again. For the last 1h45 the
only
thing on it - and it's apparently
still
"BREAKING" - has been two lines about Australia winning the Ashes.
Apparently nothing else of any importance is happening anywhere.
If there's anything that should never be considered "breaking news" on a news channel, it's the result of a scheduled sporting event.

It looks like they've opted to use the newsroom as a live backdrop to give that illusion, but the use of a laptop, the slightly darker tone and the increased blurriness of the backdrop makes me think they they're a studio other than E. What studio that is though, I don't know.
Was Riz Lateef in Studio E this morning for the Andrew Marr bulletin?

It's the opposite side of Studio B I think - you can see faint grid lines in the background as the big screens on that side of the studio are smaller screens put together to form a bigger block.
It doesn't happen very often anymore, but when the newsreader is in London (presumably because Breakfast was still on-air for News Channel viewers only due to the earlier start time of Marr today, and one of the presenters would normally do the summary) I think before they've used the generic newsroom background that was shown in N6 and TC7 between 2008 and 2013. This time around though for whatever reason they went for a shot from Studio E.
Not the first time they've used that shot on a screen either - occasionally the national bulletins do it on one of the catwalk screens when the presenter is reading a story prior to a sequence where the catwalk screens get used for story-specific graphics.
