Just out of interest, is it normal for the News at Six promo after Pointless to come from Studio C and then actually be broadcast from E?

Brilliant all afternoon. Even McCoy got a cheeky question in to the Scotland Correspondent - ‘Is Prince Andrew there, asking for a friend’.

A bit too close to the line, but made me laugh.

Yes, happens nearly every evening. It must be done before 5pm as Studio C is being used after then for News at Five. Surely it would make more sense to do the promo from E.

The News at Six is having a few sound problems with its correspondents. First with Sian Lloyd in Cardiff, now with Katya Adler in Brussels.

I thought they cut away from Sian Lloyd rather prematurely. Granted there were sound issues but it was possible to hear what she was saying quite easily. I've heard much worse over the years. Sophie just abruptly cut in and that was that for poor Sian!

Is Afternoon Live being simulcast on BBC World? Simon just had to pause an interview for a couple of seconds to tell viewers we're watching BBC News? Presumably that was the opt out point.

Could well have been as Newsroom Live was broadcasted on World in place of GMT.

Audio from studio E was leaking into the new channel’s prerecorded programme at 21:30.

Could hear the autocue being rehearsed and loud footsteps. It was particularly noticeable because the programme that was going out was from the Edinburgh Fringe (without many laughs).

Sorry if this was asked and answered in one of the many hundreds of previous pages on this subject, but since my wife asked: when does Parliament get Reith?

I love that my wife tolerates my interests enough to ask that.

Not sure about 'Reith', but I'm certain Parliament will be getting a 'wreath' the way things are going.

I think this may have been a mistake...

Also I’m curious that when the BBC comes around to redesign their graphics in another six or seven years and design trends change will they be locked into using Reith or one of its many variations? Or would the cost savings from not having to license fonts allow them to commission another font if need be?
