Someone needs to remind the schedulers that Bank Holiday Monday's are still technically a weekend! (and that's without getting into the fact it isn't a Bank Holiday today in Scotland or Nothern Ireland.)

I apologize-looks like a tweet i saw earlier (saying that Scotland and Noerthen Ireland didn't have a bank holiday) was only half right so i stand corrected!
I know most of the lower-third cock-ups have involved the graphics freezing up, followed by a reboot...and it's all getting rather boring at this stage. However, THIS little screw-up at lunchtime was mildly interesting.
And that is why they didn't go with the look of The Nine.
Except The Nine graphics have a semi-transparent black overlay which fades to nothing to ease readability, so it wouldn’t look like this even if they had.
No offence to Geeta but she needs to stop ad-libbing and potentially take a little more time to think about what she’s trying to say when off script. Every-time she does The Papers she always gets the web address wrong and it just makes thinks more confusing for the normal watcher of the programme and gives a disconnected feeling. No hate or anything just something I’ve picked up on.
Seems like the Newsroom Live autocue scripts always have Simon King being the weather presenter, regardless of who presents (and which is not updated before hand), as it was a live broadcast by Chris Fawkes at midday top of the hour, which he amusingly corrected.
There seems to be rather too many pointless location 'interviews' today. Outside Buck House (despite Ma Windsor being at Balmoral), someone on College Green (despite all the MPs being on taxpayer-funded 'fact finding trips' to the Maldives or the Caribbean).
Is Afternoon Live being simulcast on BBC World? Simon just had to pause an interview for a couple of seconds to tell viewers we're watching BBC News? Presumably that was the opt out point.
