I don't like the look of that at all. just using BREAKING feels like the graphics have crashed whilst wiping on the word NEWS. there is too much red block to the right side of the screen which NEWS would fill in nicely. They could always keep it as BREAKING when it wipes to be smaller next to the logo but as its in a white box I think they could get away with BBC NEWS {BREAKING NEWS} too
overall there is just so much wasted space in an age where graphics are getting smaller. I feel it would all look a lot nicer if the bar with the logo was not above the main strap though I do like the way it slides up and down

Just watched it back on iPlayer and it looked fine to me.
Poor Rebecca Jones almost disappearing off the screen at the catwalk during the 11pm top of hour. Someone needs to ask her to stand further forward or adjust the camera positioning better.

I know the channel is run on a shoestring budget, but would it kill the BBC to pay for the correct equipment so BBC Parliament is in sync with the rest of its output? The astons didn't really match before Reith was launched; the contrast is even worse now.

Wait chambers are not in HD? That one embedded tweet from above looked HD. When I’ve seen it here in the US whether on MSNBC or C-SPAN it looked HD.
I would like there to be a BBC Parliament HD - even if it is just for the on-screen graphics, until Parliament upgrades their cameras and equipment. The decant would be a chance to push for HD, or the return once Parliament has been refurbished.

They’d have to upgrade their router, vision mixer and broadcast chain to do HD graphics though, may as well do the cameras as well if your going that far.

I could see BBC Parliament ending up in HD online eventually, but I can't see the BBC could justify the cost of launching it on broadcast platforms given its low viewing figures.
Historically as well, picture quality was never a top priority for the channel when you think back to the audio only and quarter-screen days respectively on DTT.

It's SD, but it improves slightly when broadcast on an HD channel.
Before 1997 when Sky was analogue there used to be The Parliament Channel which had basic feeds of both houses.

Pretty much this.
The BBC won’t even make BBC Two NI HD available on satellite due to costs.
BBC One HD for English regions seem a long long way away, for satellite anyway.

I doubt they ever will, D-Sat as a mainstream delivery platform will probably vanish even before DTT ( which won’t be far behind I suspect)
