No official news.

However, Newswatch returns on Friday 4 September and regional opts on BBC Breakfast resume on Monday 7 September. So if BBC News branding was to return I would assume it would be around then.

Wonder why Nationwide couldn't be slotted into OS at 20:30.

It could work, although the flagship bulletin is the 6:30 so anything shown at 10:30 is often a cut down version with only so many stories actually being shown in full.

Look East (East) seem to retain one semi exclusive for the late so they'll often trail it at 1830 with more on the late. They could play out the full report on the news channel instead.
