The most annoying one is the UK World simulcast.

"This is BBC News with the latest headlines for viewers in the UK and around the world"

Where else are you? On Mars?

Then it's repeated:
"Hello and welcome if you are watching in the UK or around the world - do stay with us for the latest news and analysis from here and across the globe"

Thanks for that. I wonder why I tuned into the news channel...

I've wanted someone to post this for so long. Totally agree. It's actually ridiculous.

Well said. It would have been better if the bulletins started:

“Welcome to BBC News with the latest stories from around the world”

Which would make it sound like a world news bulletin with no domestic news

No, the UK is within the world.

Hopefully these longer introductions are only temporary until things get back to ‘normal’. Pre Covid it was much more simple. On World it was generally “This is BBC World News I’m XX our top stories” and then overnight it was generally “Welcome to BBC News broadcasting to viewers in the U.K. and around the world, our top stories.”

"This is BBC News, I'm [name goes here], the headlines are..." on both will do.

I really don't see a problem with the introductions. It explains to UK viewers why there is quite an international agenda, and also makes it clear to World News viewers why there are some domestic items they wouldn't normally see.

I don't see why anyone is "dying in a ditch" over it in view of the current simulcasts.

On my Freesat EPG, Outside Source is showing as 7 - 8pm and 8 - 8:30pm from Monday. There's no time zone change next week, so is this a permanent move?
MyDigiguide is showing the same: http://mydigiguide.com/tv-guide/tv.dll?h=1&a=2&ch=51230&dt=5f3a1ce0

That’s also showing on the official BBC site for news channel listings. Very strange, unless the shifts are changing and the 10:30pm presenter will start at 9pm?

I find it very odd that they decide to do that mid-August when (I think) the main presenter is on leave.

I also find it funny how the schedule are in the old slots in the afternoon (e.g 13-13:30 (News at One), 13:30-14 (BBC News), 14-17 (formerly Afternoon Live) and 17-18 (formerly BBC News at Five).

Nope it seems listings have updated to show the same-Does this mean we're getting more NC Coverage from half 8-10 in the evenings and more to the point what happens to Beyond 100 Days.

I’m guessing the schedules are normally updated automatically and they just haven’t changed the time slots.

They won’t stop simulcasting with World between 2030-2200 BST simply because of the Ten preparation and somehow I can’t see them opening another studio to accommodate
