You mean about 100 days after the programme launched?
It's a ridiculous name...
I really think it’s time to rename Beyond 100 Days though.

I honestly think having a less obtuse name would actually bring more viewers in. At the moment I imagine it’s a turnoff to casual viewers who have no idea what the ‘100 Days’ referred to.

The lower thirds graphics white bar does not need to stretch down to the bottom of the screen, there could be a small strip of picture at the bottom. As per below the previous ticker. There is a lot of wasted space down there. The white strip and the black strip above could be the same narrow depth as the black and look a lot neater.

Disagree - there is no key action happening at the bottom and it looks so much neater taking the strap all the way to the bottom rather than having a distracting image that you can't actually see below.
With the transparent astons you now actually can see much more of the picture than you have done for years on the BBC News Channel - and I guess from that perspective the strip works better than just floating text ala The Nine for the News Channel.

I think it would look more minimalist with picture below the ticker. As it did previously.

I actually think that would look less minimalist, as it makes the bottom border stand out too much, with visuals visible below. Having it flush with the bottom of the screen makes it look more self contained.

I could be wrong but I think all the BBC One network bulletins today (from Breakfast through to the 10) had all of their headline captions on one line. Someone will correct me if not. Don't know if that applies to the News Channel throughout the day as well.
Not sure if it was a conscious decision but I do agree that they look "tidier" when kept to one line, especially given their size.

I disliked the old graphics (simplicity not done right) and I dislike these new graphics as well - the two things which stick out for me are that the headlines are far too big & think the channel/program bar being above the flipper doesn’t look right.
The only thing I really like is the flipper replacing the ticker since it looks much nicer (even though the clock should be on the left-hand side instead of the right)

I don't like flippers as a rule - I think they are inflexible - but the BBC implementation is quite nice. The text is small enough to allow for longer(ish) messages but is still easily legible.
I don't think they'd have got away with sentence case text at that size on a ticker, so it looks pretty neat.
That said, the fact that the graphics now have to be double height in order to accommodate the flipper is pretty ugly. It's pretty clear that the right-hand programme name is a case of 'oh crap there's some blank space that needs to be filled - so lets fill it.
I really like the animation used as the straps come in and out and change between the various iterations (name/explainer/breaking) - and I think I'll get used to the black - they are certainly distinctive.
The one think I think they've made a complete mess of is the sports news.
While the News and Sports graphics look great in isolation, they are problematic when together. The NC is rigidly 4:3 safe... except when a BBC Sport-branded name-strap appears. In which case the logo is outside of that area. That would be fine, only the strap is only a few pixels above the 4:3-safe channel branding.
