It all went wrong at the start of the One

The live piece from Norman Smith at Westminster about Russia bizarrely was run twice, both before and after his report. I’m not sure if it was recorded or he literally did it twice but it seemed word for word

You could see something was up as Simon was reading the intro into the report very very slowly as if the gallery was unsure they had the report available

Perhaps the Russian hacking has reached the NBH servers 😎

I took it as though the package wasn't quite ready to run hence going to Norman beforehand.

It looks like he did at least the first bit of his live report twice as it was the same word for word up to a certain point.

News Channel took World News America instead of the 10 o'clock news this evening.

Meridian AM
The domestic BBC News channel has been simulcasting World News America from 10pm, as they knew the Trump press briefing was imminent.
But when this anticipated briefing began at about 10.15 they showed the first minute or so of it, then broke away to interview a contributor and then to other news!
There was almost no point watching the build up and the BBC sinulcast in the end, as they left the event!

Sky News, CNN and Al Jazeera have stuck with the briefing, as they should, considering this is the first time Trump has done an official WH briefing for a while.

BBC News (domestic and world) are back with the briefing now, finally.

You mean the propaganda fest and campaign event masquerading as a Covid 19 Briefing.

BBC World News America is also taken by PBS in the US so it cannot stick with the WH briefing…

I don't watch a lot of it, but BBC rolling news coverage seems hit and miss compared to other companies.
I switched to Sky News, as they stuck with the whole thing. I expect other people who were interested in watching the event may have switched over too.

World News America is a bulletin targeting US viewers rather than a rolling news programme. It was originally launched for BBC America back to 2007. And then BBC America scrapped WNA in 2011 (and all BBC World relay in 2013), becoming a pure-Star Trek rerun channel.

NC joined World at 2200 so it could take the WH briefing at 2226, it will be at 2235 if there’s the Ten.

But Trump began talking at about 2215.
