BBC News (UK) presentation - Reith launch onwards

The Papers is being shown on BBC World tonight including a look at a couple of international papers, such as Financial Times International and the New York Times.

BBC NC just crashed into the middle of the weather forecast following the Coronavirus briefing.

For anyone who missed it. ‘Owain’s Big House Band’ aired just before ‘Clap For Our Carers’ on News Channel.

A brief cut to studio E during 'Global Questions' this afternoon:

Lovely view of the Clyde Arc in a rather deserted Glasgow last night on Newsnight.

It seems we are only treated to a full end credit sequence on Fridays at present if the programme is from Glasgow. Those from Studio E at NBH just use a short end title animation.

It does seem odd they're using that space for Newsnight when it comes from Glasgow when it could come from the Nine set, or if they moved the late update there from the main set. Considering studio space has been reduced in London to keep things simple running three sets (though I guess perhaps not three galleries, maybe indeed only one) in Glasgow seems a bit excessive.

Why on earth is the BBC supporting Kirsty in seemingly travelling between Glasgow and London on a regular basis, while we are meant to be in lockdown, is the bigger question.

I thought the point of her hosting from Glasgow was that she wasn't travelling down to London.

I’m sure I’ve seen her presenting in E too.

Yes, after doing some minor research via the iPlayer, this month the month of April she's presented from E on the 14th, 16th and 17th. She's presented from Glasgow on the 2nd, 9th and 24th. Which suggests to me the editions she did from E she travelled down to London for specially as they fell in the same week. The editions from Glasgow were the only programme she was scheduled for that week so presumably for that reason she stayed home (if she lives in Glasgow).


So whilst she has presented from both London and Glasgow, there's nothing to suggest she's travelling to and from there on a 'regular basis'.

As much as people aren't supposed to live in their second home if they do work away from their primary residence and may have a secondary home for that it is probably fine, though if it were me I'd be driving rather than using public transport at the moment.

I've noticed Shaun Ley seems to take his time making his way to the catwalk. He seems to do this a lot. I wonder why?
