Come on, don’t defend the indefensible. The BBC absolutely should not be broadcasting this in the UK in place of domestic coverage at a time like this.

I don't feel it is tbh, if anything it's a break from the monotony which given the circumstances we all need.

BBC News have spent the last 18 minutes , and counting, reporting on nothing else except the fact that Prince Charles has coronavirus. It needs reporting, of course, but to spend this long it, with not one but two royal correspondents repeating the same things over and over and over is ridiculous.

The fact that he's the future monarch & let's be honest, he's the highest profile person to test positive, might have something to do with that.

Like I said, it obviously needs reporting, but not for 27 minutes non-stop without even reporting any other headlines at the TOTH.

There are far more important things to be reporting on right now.

The breaking news graphic debuted on the first day of Reith on WN and NC lol... In fact, the studio graphics debuted on the first reithed edition of World News Today.

James Reynolds presenting the papers for the first time, probably as he is the World News presenter at TOTH, so being asked to present that. His style is so energetic and more enjoyable than most presenters on the Papers, imo!

He presented from 8:30-9:00pm tonight in Studio E so presumably the simulcast continues too and hes the presenter on shift to do it.

I agree he was brilliant for his first time. So much connection with his two guests even though they were miles away and it seemed to go much quicker too.

That explains why in the past 2 days the late programmings after 2230 comes from Studio C, where the TOTH bulletins are simulcasted with World... they must be piloting Newsnight from E...
