Cant remember the last time I saw Matthew Amroliwala on the News Channel

He presented a news special explaining Coronavirus which was available to UK viewers on the iPlayer a couple weeks ago. He presented from College Green evening after general election last year with Martine Croxall at Downing Street.

Presenting a news channel shift like he seems to be doing is unprecedented.

Seems like the evening shift presenter isn't ready yet so they have Matthew fill in for a while in studio C (he has just presented bulletins on WN on his "Global" timeslots)...

Matthew continuing into 7pm. I guess they didn't want the evening presenter to start at 6:30pm incase he/she came into contact with Fiona at the end of the Six. They just seem to be keeping things as simple as poss at the moment.

London London
John Hammond with the Look East weather forecast at 19:30 on the News channel

At first glance would appear to be a mistake but would a regional forecast even be in the national system unless it had been specifically requested?

Unless it was recorded in London and sent to Norwich, as often these things can be.
Oh it's such a perfect day, I'm glad I spent it with you...

I suspect it was because I saw it on Look East and he used a clicker that isn't used in Norwich and he wasn't in the studio - albeit they may chose to pre-record or use green screen to minimise numbers in studios now.
