I think yes, apart from the earlier Breakfast hours. Any time I tuned in yesterday, World News was coming from Studio E.
This morning, the first hour is coming from Studio C with Tim Willcox. (Again, as Breakfast is airing in the UK at this hour).
To keep staff safe the News Channel has effectively shut down and replaced by a simulcast of BBC World News outside BBC One bulletins
The News Channel is operating almost as normal this weekend. If anything it is World that is being sacrificed at the minute but as there is only one story it is not really necessary to have separate bulletins.
Normal programming continues on BBC World at the half hour. I wouldn't say any aspect of the news division has been effectively shut down'. Fran Unsworth made it perfectly clear that all departments of news would combine to ensure the kept all outlets on air. Put simply, it's a collaboration.
