Notice that Newswatch wasn't on this week, and there's no future episodes scheduled at the moment.

I expect it's the same with similar programmes, and is understandable given the current situation, and will be interesting to see if or when they return.

Some programmes are continuing though, like Click and The Travel Show, with a very different theme to reflect the current situation.

I thought the BBC Press Release said The Travel Show was going to be dropped for now?

There is a Coronavirus special this weekend looking at the impact on tourism and consumer rights, and then I suspect that's it.

It's a great shame that the excellent Coronavirus Newscast isn't broadcast on TV every day rather than just weekly with daily audio podcasts.

Would probably make sense to withdraw the TV broadcasts full stop to allow those self isolating to be able to present it on all days.

I'd have thought they'd be able to contribute from home the same as Matt was for The One Show?

Chris Mason did in the cold open of last weeks Newscast but didn't stay

I assume Newscast was always intended to be as rough and ready as Brexitcast was so hosting from home wouldn't really be anything new.

I don't get why they wear headphones. This morning Emily M and Fergus W had them, but Adam Flemming was in a remote studio with just an earpiece (as has been standard for decades)

I think yes, apart from the earlier Breakfast hours. Any time I tuned in yesterday, World News was coming from Studio E.

This morning, the first hour is coming from Studio C with Tim Willcox. (Again, as Breakfast is airing in the UK at this hour).

To keep staff safe the News Channel has effectively shut down and replaced by a simulcast of BBC World News outside BBC One bulletins

To be clear - nothing has shut down.
BBC News is providing rolling news to BOTH streams from appropriate studios.
BBC News Channel and BBC World News are still providing key public service broadcasting to all viewers both inside and outside of the UK.
Language is important.

The News Channel is operating almost as normal this weekend. If anything it is World that is being sacrificed at the minute but as there is only one story it is not really necessary to have separate bulletins.
