Regardless, it's been a staple of budget coverage for many years. Here they are doing vox pops in Port Talbot... in 1980!

It’s debatable if the late regional news needs extending, as at the moment the bulletin is the same as the national news just with local place names slotted into the script. They’d do better giving the full extension to the national.
