25 minutes usually, there was a regional opt out in the past

Yes, normally there's just enough news going on in the world to fit perfectly into 25 minutes

Different opening titles for Afternoon Live at 3pm. They still tend to use the full length titles for OBs but replace the newsroom and studio pan shot with a wide shot of where they're broadcasting from, but this time it was an edited globed version of the titles only and the music shortened which I've not seen before.

MediaBoy please do the same edit to the long generic NC and bulletin titles, looks much tighter and speeds up the sequence. Very Happy

If you'd just tuned in you might wonder why Simon McCoy is reading the news from Wakefield High Street (which is because it's the area they descended on for the Budget vox pops), it almost looks as if he's being quarantined there. A bit of a preview on what might happen in a few weeks if we get the news from Huw Edwards' back bedroom.

Does seem strange for Simon to be at Wakefield and not the studio or College Green

Unfortunate that the idiot is still shouting about Boris money tree rubbish in the background when they go to Westminster.

Oh thank goodness, if there was one thing BBC News coverage is missing it's vox pops. Who needs expert analysis when we have what Sandra from Wakefield 'reckons' about the budget?

Probably still a more relevant opinion than Newsnight finding out what Nigel Farage reckons about Coronavirus.

Why do they feel we need vox pops on every topic.

I don't know, let's ask Sandra from Wakefield... Laughing

Why on Asia Business Report does the orange programme name appear above the black bar and the BBC World Logo remain under the strap?

They are using a different graphics system unless it’s coming from London they can’t sync it all up.

They are using a different graphics system unless it’s coming from London they can’t sync it all up.

This has most likely always been the case (atleast since BBC News moved to NBH 6 years and 359 days ago) but far less obvious in the past with the previous package, as the straps were intentionally placed above the former logo and ticker bar, and this was easier for the Singapore bureau to replicate. Sometimes, simplicity has its benefits Wink
