Oh dear, went a bit wrong at the start of the Six tonight, didn't it?. No music bed, Sophie Raworth mute to start with, a flash of the Sports presenter, and no pictures.

And now the graphics behind her are flashing about a bit.

Probably the wrong thread but the BBC News icon/loading screen on the app has been Reithed.

Discussed a few pages back.

A report today from 'Our Adam' on Politics Live demonstrated the shortcomings of using a live camera shot of the EU building on a plasma screen behind the Brussels correspondent.

As a positive, at least it's live, and avoids the blue/green 'fuzzy halo' of a CSO attempt - until you have rain, and the camera focuses on the seemingly massive raindrops.

How long is News at Ten supposed to be? Last nights was 32:15 minutes however I read somewhere else it is supposed to be 28:30.

25 minutes usually, there was a regional opt out in the past

Last night was the busiest news day for ages - it can flex in size when it needs too. I think around the 28 minute mark though is the standard.
