Standby Studio McCoy!

Okay, I gotta admit, that was extremely well done, did not see that coming. Really nice touch.
Ittr, watchingtv and BBI45 gave kudos

Studio E cameras seem to be having issues moving about this evening. Seeing a lot of manual, shaky movement and still shots.

Rugby - Really early shot at the BBC ONE Early Evening News today .... 1540 with the regional at 1550, well before the afternoon sport is over. Ridiculous.

Could easily have aired 6.55-7.15. No reason really to begin the rugby coverage till 4.15pm either.

Presumably they want to run highlights of ITA-SCO after WAL-FRA to fill the latter part of the programme.

Airing the news at that time would probably have retained viewers post-rugby and given the BBC moderately better viewing figures as well against the first 15 minutes of Saturday Night Takeaway - as opposed to the poor 2m figure (if that) that The Greatest Dancer will get. Oh well.

I honestly had no idea this could happen. Is this built-in feature to allow Huw to do the Huw?

Also wouldn't want to put Reporting Scottland up against The Seven that would also mean moving BBC News at Ten to 10:15

The Saturday evening News is more often than not at 22:10 on a Saturday in any case so it's not as though it has to be at 10. As for clashing with the seven quite frankly the vast majority of the country couldn't care less if the news on a regional channel that they have to pay for but do not benefit from was at the same time as the local news on BBCOne.

I notice that the BBC News iOS app's logo has finally changed to Reith in its latest update (v5.13.0).

Pretty interesting. Seems like it got loose over the years.
