Reporting Scotland has updated their titles and the locations surrounding the globe have been Reithed!
If Scotland can do that, why not the main bulletins?
EDIT: Wales Today have updated their titles with the locations being Reithed and updated animations and music. Sadly Newsline over in Belfast are still using the old graphics. They'll possibly change them to the new ones on the 6:30 bulletin tonight.

Look East has taken the new theme and titles and continues the National Story title, but that fades in and out. Looking fresher and cleaner.

Oh... apparently Hull can animate their headline straps, but still not the name straps

Could be worse, East Midlands Today aren't even using the headline straps from what I've seen (and the name straps still fade).

Reporting Scotland using the only title card on the screens, though...

So Reeta just declared Neil Armstrong to be the "first man" with the intro "50 years since First Man Neil Armstrong landed on the moon". Very Happy

That's a heck of a lot of space being taken up by a big red lump.

Can you please repost that when they use the graphics in association with a Donald Trump press conference.

Overall, graphics are nicer than I thought though not sure on the show specific bug and think they are overplaying the big headlines - fine for the intro but not needed midway through or for the recap IMO. Regional intros are just the same thing done in a slightly different way with a slightly different remix, and not to take the opportunity to do anything with the national titles and main News Channel titles is just lazy quite frankly - they are long overdue an update. Not sure if they're old or new but thought those Newsroom Live titles were a right mess.

Really do like the flipper though and the astons look better on screen than I thought they would, although The Nine does it better and feels much more modern.

That's because the astons are generally live, the headlines will be pre-recorded and edited and then saved out and played as an 'item'.

All regions are going to do this apparently, though it would be interesting to see how regions with antiquated equipment handle the headline sequence.

The text, complete with black shadow fades on and off.

I saw the Look Leeds version on the iPlayer, it doesn't look that great and they probably shouldn't bother.

Interestingly Midlands Today have updated their virtual backdrop to fit the new endboard in (and yes it does animate)

That's certainly better than the washed out red splodgy mess Look East viewers are greeted with.

Afternoon Live branding obviously Reithed as well, basically in the same way as Newsroom Live.

However it's programme tag has settled for a rather a breakfast-y orange, would have thought they'd go for red on white combo Newsroom Live had
Rexogamer, bkman1990 and DeMarkay gave kudos

I wonder if we'll see something new on BBC Alba's news programme (An Là)?
