Given the poignant ending of last night's BBC 10pm news, do any regions start their bulletins without any titles and music, or was it (as here in the South) a massive jolt and juxtaposition with the usual blast of jolly intro music ?

Look East Late tend to read a short line of the main headline before rolling the titles.

Not sure if it is a permanent thing however on the News at One and News at Six they are no longer doing a reminder of the main story before cutting to regions.

I've noticed in recent years that on some bulletins they recap the headlines at the end and sometimes they don't. Suppose it depends on how much time they have left.

So perhaps last nights shorter titles weren’t just for the OB!

The 10 titles have been shortened. They will lose the Newsroom and Studio wideshot and be replaced by a wideshot of the piazza from the Langham camera. This is Mon-Fri only.

The short titles are a tad odd, I almost assumed my region just opted back in a bit too late!

They are very noticeably shorter. Will take some time to adjust to given how we are so used to the longer titles.

Wow that is short nice to see the outside shot though.

It feels like a short weekend bulletin now with those titles. Hardly its flagship news bulletin.

The piazza view will make little sense to viewers who don't realise that's where the news studios are located. The newsroom shots make more sense as that's where the news is coming from.

Very odd decision.
