Yeah I think on BBC Two it was fine but it never should have been simulcast on bbc news channel, I couldn’t believe my eyes as licence fee viewers were treated to an hour of Nampy pampby whilst BBC World News were getting serious news with GMT.

No confirmation from the BBC that Victoria's show is to be axed, with the Times article saying it will be ~"likely" to bear the brunt of budget cuts - we wait for the BBC announcement proper.

It's an easy cost saving. Saves a crew rostered to man a studio just for that hour, plus the production team who make it. Having rolling news from the regular studio who are there anyway is a no brainer.

I've always thought it was a bit naff, some of the packages were very oddly produced and edited and I never cared for the studio chats. The only time I really watched it was when there was a big news story when it was basically the same as normal, just with different style astons
harshy and London Lite gave kudos

I was never a fan and I hated how we went from having Simon and Carrie in the mornings to having this crap taking over the News Channel and dragging it down every morning.

Good riddance!

It should mean Live with Lucy Hockings on World can use B for the whole three hours instead of the final hour.

Victoria Derbyshire getting the axe finally! It should never have been on news channel in the first place.

Live with Lucy Hockings with Tim Willcox. Yeah, still sounds good.
Just kidding.
Perhaps they should go back to B for the entire programme, not just the final hour

At last! The cut that happened in 2015 due to budget cuts is now getting axed itself Due to Budget cuts! At least this means they'll just do what they did on General Election Day and January 2nd/3rd and have Newsroom Live from 10:00.

Couldn't they do

09:00-10:00 BBC News at Nine
10:00-11:00 (10:00-13:00) BBC News Channel) BBC Newsroom Live
11:00-11:30 Live with Lucy Hockings (BBC Two - simulcast from BBC World News)
11:30-11:45 World Business Report
11:45-12:30 Politics Live

Would Politics Live start half way through Live with Lucy Hockings on a Wednesday when it currently starts at 11:15 for PMQs?
