BBC South had their own version too, with local drought situation reports from Jon Cuthill & rainfall stats & weather from Reham Khan. Plus the other bits that all the regions had.

Further opt-outs for BBC South, BBC South West and BBC West this Sunday afternoon at 4:15pm. The BBC South Queen and I programme was trailed last night with a network-style BBC One endboard - no 'South' to be seen.

Anyone know what happened on BBC1 South West? Their version of The Queen and I was only 30 minutes long. What did they fill the last 15 minutes of the slot with?

Next week, the opt outs involving the Olympic Torch relay start(unless they have started already?).

It appears that the 630 regional show is extended past 7pm, (Unless it is scheduled as 2 separate programmes as per Radio Times?), dropping 'The One Show' completely, in that region only.

From memory : On Tuesday, it's BBC West's turn. Thursday, It's BBC West Mids's turn. On Friday, it's the Welsh, but as 'The One Show' is an hour long, Wales is joining TOS halfway through, similar to what certain regions did during the last BBC News strike.

BBC Yorkshire and Yorkshire and Lincolnshire slotted in an extra Late Kick Off to report on the fate of the region's teams in the play offs tonight.

I don't think the English regional EPG entries can be split or extended from the 'Network' EPG. Only the programme names can be edited.

I recall BBC 1 South showing two 30 min progs in a network slot of one hour, and both programmes were truncated into the single entry. Not over impressive !!

There's a BBC1 London programme on Saturday afternoon, opting out of Question of Sport. Something about people who've met the Queen, so no doubt it'll be gripping.

Yes, because sometimes the Northern regions have been showing The Super League Show and, if there's no programme it can completely replace, they've had to delay the rest of the evening, and in the EPG it's billed as something like "23.35-01.15 THE SUPER LEAGUE SHOW followed at 00.15 by SOME FILM OR OTHER" then "01.15-02.12 SOME FILM OR OTHER continued".

Which is really crap, because if you were setting a PVR to record the film, you'd have to select both events, but you wouldn't realise that necessarily ?

It's almost as bad as the opposite, where C5 make a two minute news bulletin in the middle of a film, its own EPG event, requiring you to set both halves of the film from the EPG (though I think Series Link gets adopted, even so, it's poor stuff, and who on earth is going to want to record a crappy little 2 min C5 News report !)

Presented by that well known Londoner Carol Kirkwood.

This sounds like what was mentioned up there so presumably every region's gettings its onw at some point. The North West are also doing one at the same time.
