Slightly OT but what's that strange white thing on the wall beside the "big screen" on the left?
It's only the wall with the white/grey box painted around it; you can see it clearly in this cap of Dom interviewing Claire Sweeney (cos she's in panto at Nottingham's Theatre Royal this year) last Fri; I've used this cos it gives a wide view of the screen area.

I think it's meant to look like the screens on News 24. The area was originally like this but was changed this summer (June, I think)

The West proved difficult [unimaginative camerawork] -- however BBC West is cheerful enough.

Nick , what about the Meridian Xmas Trees? I see that nice Mr Thompsett has been getting it together with the lovely Charlotte Hawkins this week. The only thing is, the tree lacks any glitter. At least that nice Mr Thompsett CAN crack a smile!
