I think it is better than the Central News West one!

I noticed both NWT and Granada had Xmas Trees tonight.
BBC NWT had TWO in their soft area.
Granada had one in the opposite to the corner YTV have theirs in.

Have you got any clips from Look North Andrew? Their Christmas tree was quite impressive considering the efforts of previous years.

Still no Christmas tree down the South-East (Meridian).

i thought the BBC had a restriction to when the trees went up in the region. I seem to remember last year that BBC LONDON put their trees up at about this time, but were forced to take them down again because the BBC believed that they were put up too early.

It's still quite early really - next week is probably the best date.

I wonder if yesterdays events had been a far greater human tragedy if many regions would have removed their trees for the bulletins?

or maybe a black armband around the trunk?... or maybe all trees would've had a minutes silence..

Well, black is the new green regarding Christmas Trees this year!

One thing I've noticed this year on many TV shows is trees are much more colourful, rather than sticking to a colour scheme of just one or two colours.

Back to my issue - has there ever been an event at Christmas which has seen trees removed from the newsroom as a mark of respect. Lockerbie is the obvious thing that springs to mind.

Weren't some of the trees removed early last Christmas because of the Tsunami?

midlands today's tree appeared tonight - could the flashing lights be enough to make up for what it lacks in girth?
