That has to be the most bizarre set I've seen for quite a while. The sofa is truly horrific. It looks like it should rock like a rocking chair...

I agree! That giant corduroy fabric is weirdo too.

And they're sat so close together.

Meridian Tonight SE had festive titles (snowflakes and sparkles) with a "Merry Christmas" in the opening bumper. Also the programme came live from Canterbury Cathedral. Sangeeta gets too over excited... I wish she'd just SHUT UP!

Wales Tonight had a Christmas Special as well live from Cardiff City Centre instead of the studios. Rhydian from the X Factor was special guest.

Who says it's only the BBC responsible for plugging their programmes in the news?

Pam Royle and Bob Johnson were live from the Baltic Square, in Gateshead, promoting Britain Sings Christmas, for most of the programme. Jonathan Morrell and Phillipa Tomson were in the studio for the North, and poor Ian Payne was alone, yet again, for the South on North East Tonight. Suprised about the lack of snowflakes or baubles on the plasmas / projector in the studio.

It'll be a mistake, but anyone know what regional bulletins are scheduled this Boxing Day and New Year's Day? ITV don't have any, but BBC do, sometimes in the case of NYD even in Breakfast?

ITV never have regional bulletins on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Years Day. There appears to be bulletins as usual tommorow during GMTV though.
