[quote="RegionalVariation"]I appreciate the seriousness of this unfolding incident required the news special at 11.30 on BBC1, but surely a brief, perhaps 3 second, courteous acknowledgement of the scheduled show being pulled could have been arranged. To not mention in any way the removal of a programme from the schedule was discourteous to those who were looking forward to the show.
If a news special of this type replaced a prime time show at short notice there would have been an accompanying announcement. Those who form the smaller daytime audience deserved a similar display of decent manners.

Again scrapping the bottom of the barrel. What happened Julie?

OH GREAT! I was going to London tommorow and this has put me right off. I was going to The O2 (ie: Millennium Dome) and now I can't, oh well. At least noone was hurt.

I haven't seen the coverage unfortunately but at 7:30 I think they reported on Breakfast and I was very sure it was going to be a big story. Don't agree that just as I turn N24 on the breaking news tag is there - to someone who hasn't known about it it looks like the event has just happened!
