Wouldn't it have made sense to air the programme at 6pm, the usual time for STV News during the week? I know BBC Two are broadcasting a Reporting Scotland Special, but I think more people would tune in at that time.

One minor glitch, to be fair you can see what's happening because STV took too long to get back to Stephen, who was being counted down accurately over at the airport.

With regard to the 6pm issue, aside from the clash, it would involve replacing a Gaelic programme. STV has to provide an exact proportion of this sort of guff to keep OFCOM happy.
