Thumbs up to News 24 on some excellent coverage this morning. I've got the online feed on right now and they're doing a great job.
A great job of what exactly ? Speculation ?
I guess the media-circus will now drop the flooding in Yorks and the midlands like a stone, far too boring, they'll be back on the M1 southbound as I type.
No ident and no apology for or acknowledgement of the suspension of normal programming. Came across as a little bit rude I think.
Scrapping the bottom of the barrel. This is a serious story and not announcing that the Car Boot programme won't be on today is hardly worthy of a mention.
I appreciate the seriousness of this unfolding incident required the news special at 11.30 on BBC1, but surely a brief, perhaps 3 second, courteous acknowledgement of the scheduled show being pulled could have been arranged. To not mention in any way the removal of a programme from the schedule was discourteous to those who were looking forward to the show.
If a news special of this type replaced a prime time show at short notice there would have been an accompanying announcement. Those who form the smaller daytime audience deserved a similar display of decent manners.

It's a re-run... I don't think anyone actually cares.
BBC News 24 - good but boring
GMTV - hardly anything
Sky News - Excellent but slighly unfactual
CNN international - brilliant
Al Jazeera - nothing at all on the the bomb
