Interesting - a news report on STV with Louise Whyte.

It began with a video of the burning vehicle with 'stv news flash' over it and ended mid-sentence.

Liverpool Airport has been closed until further notice apparently.

There are reports Birmingham is closed too but nothing confirmed as of yet.

.

I don't think it's ment to be funny, it's tragic about the Afghan and Iraq deaths, the terrorist threats are alarming. You both have a point.

STV just had a news flash. Bit of a clumsy one, Louise cut off in her prime by a break bumper and advert as she was about to announce the time of the next news update.

Strangely Louise did far better on CNN.

Still better than anything the ITV network is doing. Continuity announced the next update would be at 10.30pm.

Was that for an STV update?

it is shocking that ITV news haven't delivered any update whatsoever.

I Give stv 5/5 FOR THAT!

It will be an STV news update at 10.30pm. STV is presumably getting money from CNN for providing coverage for them, so that will cover the extra costs.

Strathclyde Police press conference about to begin.

CNN just said that roads to Edinburgh Airport are closed, but not the airport itself. CNN has great coverage today (well via STV actually).

I haven't hear the words 'News Flash' for years, but stv had that as the title of their update. I wonder how long into the night we will see summaries on stv by Louise White.

It is a bit old fashioned ... and possibly inaccurate because they didn't actually break into any programme. ITV has an update scheduled at 11.25pm, so presumably STV will not have to do anything then.

Hats off to STV for these regular updates, It's a rarity these days for ITV regions to deliver news reports.
