Anglia Tonight (West)

Graphics: 3/10 (cheap ITV Generic rubbish!!)

I live in the west and watch either BBC Spotlight or Wales Today.

North West Tonight is always of a higher quality, even when they have silly or pointless news items.

BBC Scotland (Reporting Scotland)

If it wasn't for the new-fangled weather map, BBC Scotland would be way behind. And seeing as that's not exactly their innovation, I'm not sure they should get any credit for it.

Lookaround

Presenters : 7/10 - not very many Scottish newsreaders or reporters, but not too bad though.
Graphics : 6/10 - better without having to adhere to the ITV generic style.
Presentation of stories : 7/10 - they actually cover real news, something of a rarity in other regions nowadays.
Weather : 9/10
Set : 8/10 - could be utilised more.

Reporting Scotland

Presenters : 7/10 - not very good banter it has to be said.
Graphics : 8/10
Presentation of stories : 6/10 - stories seem to follow a certain style and are overly sexed-up.
Weather : 9/10 - come on, we have Heather the Weather !!!
Set : 3/10 - not much to be desired. Roll on the move to Pacific Quay ( We hope)

There's NOTHING wrong with Central News (South)! It's waaay better than South Today (Oxford)! CNS is much more relevant than ST Ox.

The 6.30pm edition of ST Ox has only 10 mins of news/features from Oxon, Bucks, Northants and Swindon. The other 15 mins are all about the South Coast - hardly relevant if you're in Swindon, Oxford, MK or Northampton!

OK, CNS does cover Herefordshire and Gloucestershire as well as Oxon, Bucks, Northants and Swindon but it's still more relevant than the South Coast stuff on ST.

Personally, I and the vast majority of people in Oxon, Bucks, Northants and Swindon don't need the punishment of ST and much prefer CNS.

Anglia Tonight (East)

Presenters: 2/10 - plastic and anonymous
Graphics: 2/10 - inconsistent and mis-applied
Presentation of Stories: 3/10 - very shallow
Weather: 3.5/10 - no gravitas, not a patch on Michael Hunt!
Set: 2/10 - unisparational

Look East (East)

Presenters: 9/10 - Stuart White and Kim Riley in particular. good old style authoritative journalism!
Graphics 7/10
Presentation of Stories: 9/10 - well balnced in term of seriousness
Weather 7/10
Set: 8/10 - what better than rows of books, and the lift going up and down.

Anglia's now a basket case, they ned to go back to basics.

Meridian Tonight South completely outdoes BBC South Today on numerous counts. They lead with relevant "hard" stories, and not ridiculous tales of a farm which boasts the Souths first purple sheep.
