True, I remember when SMTV was made there and booked out a whole year of Fridays and Saturdays in studio 2. So other productions had quite a limited choice when it came to filming on those days.

That was probably the reason then, the sets being dismantled and put up overnight.

Coming back to Question Time, I wonder what the security is like underneath The One Show studio? They're about 2 or 3 floors up (with a big logo on the window) but the area outside is open to the public

I rather doubt this will be answered for security reasons, at least not until after the recording.

They've just been showing some interesting shots on the NC from a hand-held camera of the QT recording.

Which studio are they using for the recording? It looks as though they have a fairly large audience in there.

On the subject of the protesters outside TVC: I do wonder how they justify exercising their right to free speech to complain about the BBC allowing an elected representative to be heard. Obviously free speech is only acceptable if you agree with what is being said.

According to the 19:40 update on the Guardian's live blog the recordings of Jonathan Ross & TV Burp have been cancelled and the audiences sent home.

What a shambles.

That would make things interesting. How easy would it be to record these shows at another time with such short notice?

Ignoring the fact that a suitable studio might not even be available, I would imagine TV Burp would be easier to relocate/reschedule than Friday Night with Jonathan Ross would be.

Its what people do these days, if you disagree with them, you have no right to be heard yourself.

Not mentioning the gigantic waste of money. Not sure I believe it though, Guardian seem to have got it off some bloke's twitter.

159 scares me.

I'll wait on the rumours about Jonathan Ross and Harry Hill (since when has TV Burp being at Television Centre?) If his show was cancelled I would suspect Wossy would be on twitter giving out about it fairly swiftly. Mind you, I do wonder how the audiences would get in with their entrance being right where the protestors are.
