personally, I think the BBC is right to offer Nick Griffin a seat on tonight's QT. Why not??

It offends me that Diane Abbot has been all over the news channel saying it's wrong, and not able to accept that the Question Time audience is inelligent enough to make up their own minds.

Nick Griffin should be put in front of the public, and I hope his opinions and policies are scrutinised and unravelled for all to see. What are people are afraid of?

Of course I don't agree with anything the BNP say, and can see it's controversial, but for goodness sake, here's the oportunity to show the BNP for what they are.

As someone intrested in politics, news and news programming, I'm looking forward to it.

Now to clarify, the reason this edition of Question Time is being done at TC, as opposed to elsewhere in the UK, has to do with security concerns for the guests, Production team, David?

Well protestors broke through the cordon apparently, now wouldn't it be amusing if they appeared on the NC studio or on the six in TC7...

I have to say that, ironically, Sky News has provided the most interesting coverage of the TVC protests so far. They've had much better pictures than the BBC and they've even just interviewed Nick Griffin on the phone! I can't believe the BBC aren't streets ahead of Sky considering it's happening on their doorstep!

Having said that of course it may be hard for camera men, producers and correspondents to make it out of TVC, where as Sky's originate from outside the building (obviously).

I have to completely agree with the BBC's decision to let him on - I, like many, seriously disagree with the BNP's views but, nevertheless, they are a political party in the United Kingdom and therefore the BBC should not decide whether or not to put him on - it's up to the government to decide whether they are legitimate or not.

NG on the BBC now - blaming Labour and the police of course.

I wonder if other programmes will be affected in general tonight? Presenters not being able to enter TVC etc?

Ironically today is the day that BBC Radio 5 Live Drive broadcast live from Hull as part of 'Octoberfest', so not at the 'centre' of the action as such.

I do agree with the BBC here though, although I strongly disagree with the BNP's ideology, we do live in a free country where freedom of speech exists. These protesters are surely on the same level as the BNP with these violent scenes we are seeing outside/inside TVC today.

I highly doubt this. Have you seen the size of that building?

this should be shown live, how do we know tonight's showing is a true representation of what is happening right now!

Well some protesters made it to the reception to the studios ('Stage Door') so they weren't far from one that the Six is coming from!

Victoria Derbyshire was presenting from outside TV Centre earlier, interviewing some of the protesters (one of whom was very incoherent) and Mark Byford down the line
