The entire intro from Dimbleby seemed a bit ropey this week to be fair, no doubt not helped by having a stand in local MP instead of a cabinet minister.
See they keep on going on about her being the "first female host in the programme's history", when (although I was born in 1992) I'm pretty sure Sue Lawley hosted some episodes in the 80's?
The article says Fiona occasionally presents the Six and Ten. I'd suggest that's slightly disingenuous given she does this regularly and has done probably as long as Huw has.
Probably the closest to a white male they could get without it actually being a white male. A safe and capable pair of hands, but feels like a bit of a missed opportunity.
According to the article, a very, very optimistic Victoria Derbyshire auditioned for the role. If the BBC wanted to try and drown the program before eventually axing it, that would be the person to give it to!
