With ITV getting buying more space not so long ago, Does anyone know if any more of the News Sub Regions will become available on Sky?
Also i was just wondering are all of the sub regions available on FreeView and Cable?
AIUI all analogue sub-regions are available on Freeview where a Freeview signal is available - though they might not have the same coverage boundaries as analogue (there are currently far fewer digital transmitters)
(Of course there is no Freeview/DVB-T in the Channel Islands yet - as there are issues with the frequencies that France uses for TV)
AFAIK the only change to the sub-regions on digital satellite (aka Sky Digital) was the addition of Meridian East a while back.
Presumably Meridian East was added because it was one of the few areas where the equivalent full BBC regions was on DSat, but the ITV equivalent wasn't - and was a full programme?

Apparently that's the plan for the extra space. Some testing of the fourth transponder has begun, so I imagine it shouldn't be too long. Does anyone know when?

I guess it will take a bit of time for NTL to put the extra compression and muxing gear in, as well as engineering the links to the uplink centre?
