On Tuesday 17th at 12pm there is a News Special on BBC2 for an hour with Jon Sopel and Fergal Keane (Daily Politics at 11.30am)

Interesting side to the coverage, BBC Special titles featured heavily the Green and Orange of the Irish Flag, whereas RTE added the red and blue of the Union Flag in the mix for theirs.
I've not seen any of the coverage today, but I noticed a few days ago that Nicholas Witchell was astoned "Diplomatic Correspondent". I know he's done the odd report on non-royal affairs recently but is this an actual new role for him?

I'm sure he was introduced as royal correspondent on the special programme at lunchtime yesterday.
Nicholas Witchell actually has a multiple role at BBC News: Royal Correspondent / Diplomatic Correspondent / Special Correspondent. Depending on what's going on in the world, he will appear as any one of the above titles.
Jon Sopel: why is he wrapped up in a Mac and a Scarf today? It's almost June, for goodness sakes. LOL. And who is the gentleman by the name of Fergus who is voicing alongside Jon? Whoever he is, he is an authority on all things Irish!
