What do you think of the BBC World features?
(The two and a half minute, non-breaking news, stories. Those that are commissioned by BBC world from outside the UK.)

As of mid-2006 the department will no longer exist.
Do you feel that they are an important part of BBC world coverage?

I'm not quite clear what you're referring to...

On BBC world there are often 2'30" features, mainly shown after the hourly news, that are about topics outside the UK.
They are not breaking news stories, and often feature more human interest and cultural apects of countries (animal smuggling in Italy, gay marriage in Spain etc).
These are commissioned directly by BBC World and are not shown on other BBC channels.
Hope that makes it a bit clearer.

That is not strictly true - yes they are commissioned by BBC World but they are often shown on News 24 and on BBC Four.
