Wasn't able to check if BBC or ITV did newsflashes to announce the news. An interview has been announced for tonight so BBC and ITV might rejig their schedules to show it on the main channels.
The news was seemingly embargoed until 10am. First heard the news from Victoria Derbyshire, it has to be said it wasn't great television. Victoria stuttering her way through the announcement, looking like she thought she was on radio. They dragged Nick Witchell in pretty quickly who also seemed a bit unprepared. I'd love to know how much advance notice was given to the media. The ITV newsflash at 10.15 was more polished. I've just tuned into the BBC again and to be fair, Anita McVey and Nick Witchell doing much better now.

Not sure Clarence House give much official notice of an announcement - obviously they were probably preparing graphics for the last few days.
I tuned into Sky shortly after the announcement and it looked as though they’d already had a report long prepared?
TBH, it wasn't a case of if, but when. I heard reports that the announcement was imminent last week, which is more than enough time to prepare a report in advance with few extra details to insert. Also, if the news was embargoed as we believe it to be, the final details could be added before the set time.
